Flint's Bobby Reynolds and Port Huron's Stu Dunn Earn Weekly Honors

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO---The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Wednesday that Flint Generals right wing Bobby Reynolds has been named Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week and Port Huron Beacons goaltender Stu Dunn has been named UHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 4, 2004.

Reynolds completed the 11th week of the season registering 10-points (6g, 4a) and a plus-five rating in four games. He opened the week tallying one assist in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Adirondack IceHawks and notched three points (1g, 2a) in Friday's 5-2 victory over the Missouri River Otters. Reynolds recorded the Generals first hat trick of the season in Saturday's 4-0 shutout of the Elmira Jackals and his third consecutive three-point night, scoring two goals and one assist in Sunday's 6-2 win over the River Otters. The 36-year-old Flint, Michigan native was involved in 10 of Flint's 18 goals during this past week and scored three power play goals and two shorthanded tallies to lead the Generals. Reynolds currently leads the UHL with six shorthanded points (3g, 3a) and is riding a six-game point-scoring streak.

Other players nominated for the Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week include: Adirondack center James Desmarais, Columbus left wing Nick Bootland, Elmira defenseman James Sheehan, Fort Wayne center Colin Chaulk, Kalamazoo forward Andrew Luciuk, Missouri right wing Jeff Petruic, Muskegon right wing Robin Bouchard, Port Huron center Aaron Brand, Quad City right wing Jason Sessa, Richmond center Kevin St. Jacques and Rockford center Jeff Johnstone.

Dunn completed the 11th week of the season posting a 3-1-0 record, a 2.20 goals against average (GAA) and a .942 save percentage (SPCT). He successfully turned away 130 of 138 shots on goal, including a 40-save performance in Friday's 3-2 shootout victory over the Rockford IceHogs. Dunn collected his 10th win of the season in Sunday's 5-1 victory over the Quad City Mallards. The 29-year-old Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island native currently is tied for third in the league with a .914 SPCT and fourth in the UHL with a .846 shootout save percentage.
