York Revolution News Release

Just call them the cardiac kids. Telvin Nash was the latest York Revolution player to come up with a game-winning base hit, singling up the middle to bring home a sprinting Bryan Pounds from second to grant the Revs their second straight walk-off win, topping the Camden Riversharks 5-4 on Saturday night. The game was played in front of 5,717 fans at Santander Stadium, the season's third largest crowd. York will go for a series sweep on Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m.

Rommie Lewis took the mound for the Revs on Christmas in July Night at Santander Stadium, and pitched well, going six innings and striking out five, while only allowing two earned runs.

Brandon Boggs got the bats going early against Camden starter Sean Gleason, singling to center field in the third to send home Wilson Valdez with the first run of the game.

The Riversharks would answer in the fourth against Lewis though, when Joel Guzman doubled down the line in right to knot the score at 1-1.

The tie would be short-lived however, as Revs all-time hits leader Andres Perez added to his total, now 391, with an RBI single to left to score Yeicok Calderon. Mikey Reynolds would continue his hot hitting later that inning, also singling home a run to put the Revs up 3-1 going into the fifth.

The Riversharks would get a run back in the top of the fifth, as shortstop Brandon Chaves skyed a fly ball that cleared the Arch Nemesis in left for a solo shot.

Calderon would retaliate in the bottom of the frame, slashing an opposite field RBI double off the Arch Nemesis in left, scoring Boggs to increase the lead to 4-2.

After Luis Perdomo struck out the side in the seventh in his Revs debut, Stephen Penney escaped a bases-loaded jam in the eighth by coaxing a 6-3 double-play from the first baseman Guzman to end the threat.

Josh Judy entered the game in the ninth looking to lock down the win for the Revs, but a two-out, two-strike hit by Michael Rockett kept the game alive. Chaves then reached on an error at shortstop by Valdez, before Paddy Matera walked to load the bases. Carlos Guzman followed with a two-run single to center, tying the score at 4-4 in stunning fashion. Tony Pena (1-2) struck out Zach MacPhee on a 3-2 pitch to leave the bases loaded, keeping the game tied.

Camden's comeback only set the table for the Revs to mount their own two-out rally, as back-to-back-to-back hits by Pounds, Calderon and finally Nash sent the Revs into celebration mode once again for their seventh walk-off victory of the season.

Pounds kept the inning alive with a two-strike single to center off reliever Daniel Herrera (2-4) and Calderon followed with a first-pitch single to right as each batter completed their own 4-for-5 night at the plate. After falling behind quickly, Nash battled Herrera to a 2-2 count before ripping a single to center, bringing home Pounds to score the winning run, beating Rockett's throw to the plate.

The Revs go for the series sweep on Hunger Games Night at Santander Stadium on Sunday, as righty Shawn Hill (2-7, 4.21) takes the hill for the Revs against lefty Bill Murphy (2-10, 5.33). The day begins with a Pregame Autograph Session at 4:05 p.m. and Catch on the Field and concludes with Postgame Kids Run the Bases. It is also a $1 Dog Day presented by Hatfield Quality Meats, and Maple Donuts Night. Tickets are on sale at YorkRevolution.com, (717) 801-HITS, and in-person at the Apple Chevrolet Ticket Office.
