(Central Islip, N.Y., June 29, 2009) - The York Revolution defeated the Long Island Ducks on Monday 6-5 before a past-capacity crowd of 6,210 at Citibank Park.

The Ducks struck first with two runs in the first inning off Revs' starter Tim Harikkala (3-1). Ray Navarrete's 11th homer of the season gave the Ducks an early 1-0 lead. Estee Harris' RBI double plated Victor Rodriguez to make the score 2-0.

The Revolution came right back off Ducks' starter Jake Dittler with one run in the second. Matt Rogelstad's RBI triple cut the lead to 2-1. The score remained the same until the Revs scored three in the third frame. Ryan Goleski's RBI doubled highlighted the big inning.

The Flock tied it with single runs in the fourth and fifth innings. John Pachot's RBI single in the fourth cut the deficit to one and Matt Cavagnaro's deep blast over the right field in wall in the fourth knotted the game at four. In the sixth, the Revs took the lead for good as Robert Paulk (1-2) surrendered two unearned runs and the Revolution never looked back.

Harikkala picked up the win firing five and two-thirds innings, allowing 11 hits and five runs. Paulk suffered the loss allowing two unearned runs and two hits. Bob Zimmerman nailed down his fourth save with a scoreless ninth.
