New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution will play its first home game of the 2013 season on Saturday, March 23, at Gillette Stadium when the team will host FC Dallas in Week 4 of the MLS schedule.
Additionally, after a bye in Week 1, the Revs will officially kick off the 2013 season in Week 2 at Chicago on Saturday, March 9, in the Fire's home opener at Toyota Park.
Major League Soccer will release kick-off times when the full schedule is released later this winter.
The game on March 23 is the first of the Revs' 17 regular-season MLS games at Gillette Stadium next season. The game will mark the team's earliest-ever home opener, supplanting the 2012 home opener on March 24 by one day.
Individual-game tickets won't go on sale until later this winter, but fans who wish to purchase seats for the 2013 home opener against Dallas have two ways to lock in their seats now: season tickets and Holiday Mini-Plans.
2013 Season ticket packages, which include all 17 regular-season games and one other soccer event, are on sale now and start at $297 for lower bowl seats ($333 after Dec. 21). Holiday Packs, which include tickets to four or six games of fans' choosing and a premium gift, are also available now and start at $88 for four-game packages ($108 for six-game packs) for lower bowl seats.
MLS' First Kick is set for Saturday, March 2, with six teams hosting games to officially open the 2013 season: Chivas USA, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Seattle and Vancouver. Three more teams will open their home slates on Sunday, March 3: LA, Portland and San Jose.
Week 2 sees Chicago "" against the Revs, Colorado, D.C. and Toronto open their home slates on Saturday, March 9, while Columbus, Kansas City, Montreal, New York and Salt Lake will play their home openers in Week 3 on Saturday, March 16.
With a 19-team league, one team generally has a bye each week of the season, and the Revs will have a bye during the league's first weekend of competition.
