Bridgewater, NJ- The York Revolution defeated the Somerset Patriots 2-0 before 6,895 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday evening.
York scored the game's only runs in the top of the seventh inning on an RBI base hit by Eric Eymann to give the Revolution a 2-0 advantage
York reliever Sean Stidfole (2-2) picked up the win with a scoreless 1.1 innings pitched.
Patriots starter Chris Oxspring (2-6) suffered the loss, allowing two runs on five hits and five strikeouts in 6.1 innings pitched.
Relievers Casey Cahill, Jeff Kennard, and Ron Villone combined for 2.2 scoreless innings of relief for Somerset.
The 2011 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue at home on Saturday, August 13th when the Patriots take on the Revolution at 7:05 pm.
