
Revolution Quiet Patriots 6-1

Somerset Patriots News Release
Bridgewater, NJ - The York Revolution defeated the Somerset Patriots 6-1 at TD Bank Ballpark on Tuesday evening.
The Patriots took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Center fielder Wayne Lydon tripled and scored on an RBI single by right fielder Joe Burke.
The Revolution took a 2-1 lead with two runs in the top of the fifth inning. Third baseman Steve Haake singled and scored on an RBI triple by center fielder Scott Grimes. Second baseman Liu Rodriguez followed with an RBI single to take the lead.
York extended the lead with four runs in the top of the sixth inning. Three straight singles by designated hitter Jose Herrera, first baseman Ian Bladergroen, and right fielder Erold Andrus was followed by a grand slam by third baseman Steve Haake (12) for a 6-1 advantage.
York starter Tim Harikkala (1-1) picked up the win, allowing a run on five hits in seven innings pitched. Patriots starter Brian Adams (3-3) suffered the loss, allowing six runs on 12 hits in six innings pitched.
The Somerset Patriots 2010 Season presented by Ford will continue at home with a 6:35 pm game against the Revolution on Wednesday night. The game includes Football Night and Baseball Bingo.
