Revolution Player Escort Auctions Winding Down at eBay

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Less than one day remains for fans to bid on the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to walk onto the field hand-in-hand with 11 members of the starting lineups for New England Revolution-Los Angeles Galaxy game at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 12. Fans can bid on the chance to enter Gillette Stadium at eBay (www.ebay.com) by entering the keywords "Revolution Player Escorts."

The first 11 auctions will begin to close at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2. The auctions set to close include Galaxy stars David Beckham and Landon Donovan, as well as Revs All-Stars Taylor Twellman, Shalrie Joseph, Matt Reis, Michael Parkhurst, Steve Ralston and Pat Noonan and three other Galaxy starters.

A second set of auctions is also underway, and will start closing at 10 a.m. ET, on Monday, Aug. 6. The second set of auctions include the opportunity to walk onto the field in front of the Gillette Stadium crowd with New England's Jay Heaps, Andy Dorman, Jeff Larentowicz and the rest of the teams' starting lineups.

Player escorts must be ages 5-14. One hundred percent of proceeds from the auctions will go to the New England Revolution Charitable Foundation, the not-for-profit charitable arm of the Revolution.

The winning bidder of the Beckham escort will receive four (4) tickets to the Fidelity Investments Clubhouse for the Aug. 12 match, while all other winners with receive two (2) tickets to the match.
