New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution midfielder Jermaine Jones will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Fenway Park on Tuesday evening. Jones' first pitch will come ahead of the Boston Red Sox game against the Toronto Blue Jays, which starts at 6:10 p.m.
Jones has appeared in three games this season, while helping the Revolution compile a 2-0-1 record in those contests. After joining the Revolution as a Designated Player in August 2014, Jones helped lead the Revs to MLS Cup for the first time since 2007, scoring twice and adding four assists in 10 regular-season games and then tallying a goal and two assists in five postseason games. Including last season, New England is unbeaten with an 8-0-2 record in regular-season games when Jones starts.
This will be the second time that Jones throws out the ceremonial first pitch before a Major League Baseball game, having also done so before a Los Angeles Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium in July 2014, shortly after returning from the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
