(York, Penn., Sept. 14, 2015) - The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the York Revolution 5-2 on Monday night in the opener of a three-game series at Santander Stadium.

Elmer Reyes opened the scoring in the third inning with a solo home run to left-center field, his third longball in the last four games, off of Revolution starter Logan Williamson. Bryan Pounds responded in the bottom of the frame with a two-out, two-run single to center off of Ducks starter Bobby Blevins to put the Revolution in front 2-1.

Reyes pulled Long Island back even in the fifth with a RBI double to left off of the Arch Nemesis. It stayed 2-2 until the bottom of the seventh when Andres Perez lined a RBI single off the wall in left to give York a 3-2 advantage. Telvin Nash's two-run homer to left in the eighth rounded out the scoring.

Williamson (8-12) earned the win, tossing seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out three. Ricardo Gomez (0-1) suffered the loss, yielding a run on two hits in one inning of relief. Josh Judy collected his 12th save with a perfect ninth inning. Blevins did not factor into the decision but pitched six innings of two-run ball, yielding seven hits and two walks while striking out five.
