Revolution Announces Schedule For Bermuda Preseason Trip

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution today announced its schedule for its preseason trip to Bermuda, which begins on Wednesday, Feb. 13. The Revs will play a pair of friendlies against Bermuda opponents while on the island, the team's first competition of the 2008 season.

The Revs will depart for Bermuda on Wednesday, Feb. 11, and spend nine days on the training trip before returning on Thursday, Feb. 21.

New England will conduct its training sessions - and play both game - at the National Sports Centre in Hamilton. On Saturday, Feb. 16, the Revs will face the Bermuda National Team at 7 p.m. The Revolution will play its second match of the trip on Wednesday, Feb. 20, when the team takes on the Bermuda National/Select Team at 7 p.m.

The team's 2008 trip to Bermuda is the Revs' fourth in as many seasons as the club has gone every season since 2005.

Wednesday, Feb. 13 - Travel to Bermuda; Training at 3:30 p.m. (National Sports Centre, Hamilton)

Thursday, Feb. 14 - Training, 10 a.m.

Friday, Feb. 15 - Training, 10 a.m.

Saturday, Feb. 16 - vs. Bermuda National Team, 7 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 17 - Training, 10 a.m.

Monday, Feb. 18 - Training, 10 a.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 19 - Training, 10 a.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 20 - Visit to Mount Saint Agnes Academy (Hamilton), 10:45 a.m.; vs. Bermuda National selection, 7 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 21 - Travel to Boston

After two more preseason trips, the Revs will open the 2008 season on Saturday, March 29 when the club hosts the Houston Dynamo in a rematch of MLS Cup 2007. The teams will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium in a match that will be televised nationally on Fox Soccer Channel.
