Revenge Thursday vs. Minot
February 4, 2014 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Aberdeen Wings News Release
Revenge is sometimes a strong word. But when it comes to sports and the intensity of ice hockey, the Aberdeen Wings will be looking to over power Minot at the Odde Ice Center this Thursday.
Two weeks ago the Minotauros swept the Wings inside the Odde Ice Center 2-1 & 4-1. The Wings are also coming off a tough weekend against non-divisional opponents the Minnesota Wilderness, so to say the Wings are looking for revenge is closer to truth than anything.
The NAHL announced their monthly stars for January and included on the list was Wings forward #11 TJ Roo (F-Coon Rapids, MN) who tallied 6 goals and 2 assists during the month. Roo and the Wings were back on the ice Monday in practice with determination and intensity with head coach Travis Winter.
February 17th and 18th the Wings will be without defensemen #4 Jake Horton (D-Plymouth, MN) and #20 Dillon Eichstadt (D-Bemidji, MN), also forward #24 Jonathan Grebosky (F-Pittsburgh, PA) as they will be participating in the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in Troy, Michigan. The tournament will feature those players who have not committed to a college or university with the opportunity to perform in front of many collegiate and professional scouts.
