Last Game: The Aces made the trip to Tacoma, Washington on Friday night and were joined by some heavy forces. National League All-Star A.J. Pollock and Steven Souza Jr. both began their highly-anticipated climb back to Arizona in game one against the Tacoma Rainiers. Souza Jr. led the Aces offense tonight, finishing 2-for-4 with a pair of singles. A.J. Pollock's first action May 14 got off to a slow start. Recovering from a broken thumb injury, Pollock went 0-for-4 with a strikeout and was replaced by Evan Marzilli in the 8th inning. Matt Koch allowed three earned runs on 11 hits in 6.1 innings of work. Randall Delgado, down on MLB rehab assignment, tossed a scoreless inning and allowed no base runners. The loss moves Reno to a record of 37-44 on the season, 10.5 games back of the first place Fresno Grizzlies.

On Their Way: Steven Souza Jr., A.J. Pollock, and Randall Delgado all made Major League rehab appearances with the Aces last night in Tacoma. Souza Jr. is coming off a Strained Right Pectoral Muscle. In his time with Arizona, he was batting .163 with one RBI. A.J. Pollock is coming back from a broken thumb injury. Prior to his injury, Pollock was MVP candidate, batting .293 with 10 doubles, three triples, and 11 home runs. Delgado is coming off a shoulder injury and is expected to make multiple appearances before being activated off the 60-day disabled list per the Associated Press. On this date last season, Pollock homered twice for the Aces against El Paso.

Want the Lefty: Kevin Cron is batting .458 (22-for-48) this season against left-handed pitching. He's hit four doubles, one home run and has driven in 10 RBI. Juniel Querecuto is batting .385 against lefties (5-for-13) and Evan Marzilli is batting .320 (8-for-25).

Out of the Pen: Since making the switch from starter to reliever, Braden Shipley has been sharp. The University of Nevada alum has made eight appearances, thrown 13.1 innings and struck out 12. His relief appearance last night was the first time he did not allow a single baserunner (.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 K, 0 BB).

At Greater Nevada Field Tonight: Reno 1868 FC will look to extend its unbeaten streak to 13-straight matches Saturday as the club welcomes Portland Timbers 2 to Greater Nevada Field. Kickoff is slated for 7:15 p.m. for World Cup Celebration Night. Reno's unbeaten streak began with a win over the playoff-contending Portland Timbers 2 back on April 21 in Portland. Reno has not lost a game since and will look to build on its playoff campaign against a squad one spot ahead in the Western Conference standings.
