The Salt Lake Bees had gone 154 consecutive games without being shutout, but that streak came to an end in an 8-0 loss to the Las Vegas 51s on Friday night.

Their best scoring opportunity came in the third inning when Rymer Liriano led off with a triple. With one out, Francisco Arcia was hit by a pitch and with Eric Young, Jr. at the plate, the Bees tried to execute a double steal , but Liriano was thrown out at the plate. They also had runners at first and second with one out in the fourth, but Zach Houchins flied out and Rymer Liriano bounced into an inning ending fielder's choice.

Salt Lake starter Jose Suarez (0-3) took the loss, as he went four innings and allowed five runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Suarez was touched for a three run homer by Jeff McNeil in the third inning that put Las Vegas ahead to stay. Jose Miguel Fernandez had two of the Bees' five hits.
