From the Notes

59 and Counting: Nick Martini extended his on-base streak to 59 games with a single in the fifth inning of last night's game. He's hitting .336 (73-for-217) with 37 runs, 35 RBI, 12 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs and 39 walks during the streak that is the longest in Minor League Baseball. The 59-game streak is the longest by a Nashville Sounds player in the Pacific Coast League era. Since MLBAM began tracking on-base streaks in 2009, Martini's 59-game streak is the 2nd-longest in professional baseball. The longest on-base streak in professional baseball since 2009 belongs to Andrew Velazquez of Single-A South Bend when he reached in 74 straight games in 2014.

Hip Hip Jorge: Jorge Mateo needs one more triple to become the 9th player in Sounds history to collect 10 or more in a season. Duane Walker holds the all-time single season record for the Sounds with 15 in 1979. Ted Wilborn collected 14 in 1980, Rich Thompson had 13 in 2004, and five players have tallied 12 in a season. Tike Redman hit 11 in 2000 and 10 in 2001. Wilborn and Redman are the only two Sounds players to have two seasons of 10 or more triples.

Tee'd Off: The Sounds pitching staff gave up a season-high five home runs to the Omaha Storm Chasers last night. It was the most home runs allowed in a game by the Sounds since August 27, 2015 when the Tacoma Rainiers went deep five times at Cheney Stadium.

Base Burglars: The Sounds allowed a season-high three stolen bases last night, matching the three Colorado Springs swiped against them on May 10. Nashville has allowed 70 stolen bases this season, which is 13th in the Pacific Coast League. They are throwing would-be base-stealers out at a .278 clip, which is 11th in the league. Iowa has allowed the most stolen bases (93) and has the lowest caught-stealing percentage (.184) in the league.
