Today's Game: The Aces look to duplicate their offensive explosion again tonight, coming off a five-home run performance Wednesday. Bradin Hagens will take the mound for Reno coming off two consecutive losses.

About Last Night: The Reno Aces offense exploded for eight runs on 10 hits and five home runs on Wednesday night. Jose Queliz launched his first Triple-A home run and fellow newcomer Alex Young (5.2 IP, 9 H, 3 ER, 5 K) picked up his first Triple-A win. Jimmie Sherfy earned his 9th save of the season and 75th in his Minor League career. Offensively, Cesar Puello and Kevin Cron led the Biggest Little ballclub, each finishing with two hits and two RBI.

Don't Rub It: Outfielder Cesar Puello was hit by pitch for the 10th time this season Tuesday afternoon in Salt Lake. Puello is tied for the league lead with Michael Hermosillo of Salt Lake. In his career, Puello has been hit 149 times. In 2010, he set a career-high with 22 HBP as a member of the Savannah Sand Gnats. Last season, Oswaldo Arcia led the Aces in HBP with 8. The last Aces player to be HBP more than 10 times in a season was Adam Eaton (15) in 2012.

Extended: The Reno Aces and Arizona Diamondbacks have signed a two-year renewal of their Player Development Contract, extending the Triple-A partnership between the two franchises through the 2020 season, both clubs mutually announced today. The two-year renewal continues the two sides' partnership which began back in 2009, the Aces' inaugural season. In 2010, both clubs signed a two-year deal which ran through the 2011-12 seasons before agreeing to a four-year extension in June 2012, continuing the affiliation through the end of the 2016 season. In May 2016, the teams again agreed to a two-year contract, continuing the affiliation through the end of this year. Entering play tonight, the Aces own a 296-650 all-time record and have advanced to the Pacific Coast League playoffs four times (2011, '12-'14 and 2017).

Biggest Little Bombers: The Reno Aces exploded for five home runs on Wednesday night, one short of the team-record of six. Jose Queliz (1), Kevin Cron (4), Evan Marzilli (2), Ildemaro Vargas (3), and Cesar Puello (3) each homered against former Aces southpaw Aaron Laffey. Marzilli, Vargas and Puello all homered in the Aces five-run 5th inning. Reno's record for most home runs in a single game came on April 28, 2011, against Tacoma.

Last Day of May: The month of April was not kind to the Reno Aces. Entering the month of May, Reno had a record of 8-17 with a team ERA of 6.27. Led by Pitching Coach Gil Heredia, the Aces pitching staff has an ERA of 4.52 in the month of May and overall team ERA of 5.33 (13th in the Pacific Coast League).
