Ottawa Renegades News Release
OTTAWA â Ruffy, the popular Ottawa Renegades mascot, will be part of the Xerox Corporate Challenge today at the Ottawa Civic Centre, aiding in the effort to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The 16th anniversary of the event will take place between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday.
Some of the community's best known mascots will be taking part as celebrity guests and take part in the pre-race demo team skate. The mascots always are a big hit and add fun to the on-ice activities.
Ruffy, like many Renegades players, coaches and front office staff, has been active in the community during the off-season at a number of appearances throughout the Capital Region.
