Battle Creek, Mich - The Battle Creek Bombers (10-16) got solid relief from their bullpen to defeat the Waterloo Bucks (19-6), 3-2.

Waterloo jumped out to an early 2-0 lead off Battle Creek starter Alex Tukey . Tukey went three innings, giving up the two runs in the third and striking out five. For Waterloo though, the third inning was all the scoring they would do.

Battle Creek pounced on Waterloo starter Aaron Rhodes for 3 runs in the fifth inning thanks to an RBI from Jared Foster and two from Kade Scivicque . For the rest of the game, the Battle Creek bullpen was on lockdown mode against the Bucks.

Todd Eaton (W 4-5) worked three innings of relief followed by an inning each from Ben Dartnell and Kellen Urbon . Gabe Berman (S 9) worked the ninth. Aaron Rhodes (L 5-3) went five innings for Waterloo surrendering all three runs and striking out eight Bombers. The Bombers now welcome in Green Bay for the final two home games of the season.
