(Edmonton) - There's no way to avoid this quarterback 'sack'.
Edmonton Eskimos Mike Reilly and Mike's Gridiron Garlic and Parmesan Chips headline the 2015 season of Co-op-Eskimos Game Day Approved products. The Game Day Approved partnership provides a portion of sales to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation.
"Game Day Approved continues to provide excitement for football fans and Co-op shoppers across Western Canada," said Ed Berney, General Manager of North Central Co-op in Edmonton. "It's easy to support this initiative because it's fun, we have great partners and, most importantly, we share a common goal of being champions for healthy children and healthy families."
Reilly's chips will join a full line-up of Co-op-Eskimos Game Day Approved food and gear, including specially packaged chocolate bars, bakery items, trail mix, autograph football, cooler and lawn chair.
"We were impressed with the Co-op Game Day Approved product line launched last year and the next product evolution for the 2015 season looks even better," said Len Rhodes, President and CEO of the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club. "I love the fact that our fans can shop for Eskimos products at their local Co-op store knowing a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Stollery."
Last year, the Co-op-Eskimos partnership donated $19,000 to the children's hospital foundation. This adds to Co-op's $825,000 donation over five years to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation.
"To be truly successful at anything, you must have people you can count on to get you to the goal line," says Mike House, President and CEO of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation. "We are very fortunate to have Co-op and the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club on our team as we work together to transform children's health and positively impact the lives of children and families in our community."
