OTTAWA - Canadian Football League teams are required to reduce the number of players on team active rosters to 46, before 10 p.m. Saturday. The Ottawa REDBLACKS transferred the following players to the team's practice roster today:
International defensive back Brandon Sermons
National linebacker Tanner Doll
International linebacker David Hinds
National offensive lineman Aaron Wheaton
International offensive lineman Cameron Clemmons
International offensive lineman Jake Silas
National offensive lineman Alexandre Laganiere
International defensive lineman Matt Acree
International wide receiver Michael Campbell
International wide receiver Brelan Chancellor
The REDBLACKS made the following additional roster moves:
TRANSFERRED international quarterback Brock Jensen to the one-game injured list
TRANSFERRED international wide receiver Khalil Paden to the one-game injured list
TRANSFERRED international wide receiver Marcus Henry to the one-game injured list
TRANSFERRED national defensive back Hugo Lopez to the one-game injured list
TRANSFERRED international defensive back Forrest Hightower to the one-game injured list
TRANSFERRED national defensive lineman Andrew Marshall to the one-game injured list
TRANSFERRED national defensive lineman Justin Phillips to the six-game injured list
TRANSFERRED national wide receiver Matt Carter to the six-game injured list
TRANSFERRED international defensive lineman Jonathan Williams to the disabled list
TRANSFERRED national wide receiver Brad Sinopoli to the disabled list
The REDBLACKS have the team's first practice on Sunday, June 21 at Gee-Gees Field on the Lees campus of the University of Ottawa, beginning at 11:15 a.m. The address is 200 Lees Ave. in Ottawa.
On Monday, June 22, the team will practise at Keith Harris Stadium at Carleton University beginning at 11:15 a.m.
The REDBLACKS open the 2015 CFL season in Montreal at Percival Molson Stadium on Thursday, June 25 against the Alouettes. The REDBLACKS' home opener is Saturday, July 4 at TD Place against the BC Lions, with a 6 p.m. kickoff.
