SEATTLE (November 3, 2014) - Reign FC players continued their campaigns abroad as Australia's W-League rounded out their eighth week and teams in the Frauen Bundesliga were back in action for Round 16 of the DFB-Pokal Cup competition. Here's a look back at how Reign FC players on loan fared for their respective sides, as well as National Team updates.

LEAGUE PLAY:

Australia - W-League

Keelin Winters and Kendall Fletcher each played 90 minutes with their respective sides as the Western Sydney Wanderers played a close match against Canberra United on November 1. While the Wanderers looked to be in the clear for all three points after their goal in the 10th minute, the relentless efforts of Canberra United finally prevailed just as the game ticked over into stoppage time and the teams shared points with a 1-1 draw.

Match Report

Lauren Barnes and Elli Reed both played 90 minutes in Melbourne Victory's 3-1 loss to Perth Glory on November 2. Despite an early goal that gave the Victory the lead, the club was unable to hold off the efforts of the league's leading team who equalized in the 39th minute before running away with the match in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Barnes, Reed and Melbourne Victory will now turn their attention to their match against Winters and the Western Sydney Wanderers while Fletcher and Canberra United will face Sydney FC. Both games will take place on November 9.

Match Report

Cyprus - Cypriot First Division

Haley Kopmeyer and Apollon Limassol will begin week one of the Cypriot First Division against AMOK Chrysomilia on November 9.

Germany - Frauen Bundesliga

While the Frauen Bundesliga has been on an international break, play started back up in the DFB-Pokal Cup competition as Round 16 games were played by Jess Fishlock and FFC Frankfurt as well as Kate Deines and Turbine Potsdam.

Fishlock and FFC Frankfurt advanced to the quarterfinals of the competition with a 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen on November 2. On November 5, FFC Frankfurt will take on Freiburg before competing in their UEFA Women's Champions League match against Torres Calcio on November 9.

Deines and her side Turbine Potsdam also advanced to the quarterfinals of the DFB-Pokal Cup with a 4-0 win over Herforder SV on November 2. They will now turn their attention to their week nine matchup against Bayer Leverkusen on November 8.

NATIONAL TEAM UPDATES:

Little and Scotland National Team Eliminated From World Cup Qualifying

Kim Little and the Scotland Women's National Team's 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup hopes were dashed after their 2-0 loss to the Netherlands in the second leg of their World Cup qualifying semifinal playoff on October 30 in Rotterdam.

Scotland entered the match already needing two goals due to their 2-1 first round loss on October 25 in Edinburgh. They came out with high pressure and a lot of intensity in the first half, keeping the Dutch at bay while stringing together a few promising looks on goal. The Dutch made an uphill challenge for Scotland even steeper after putting away a goal in the second half for the 3-1 aggregate lead. The game was finished off when the Netherlands found goal number two and advanced to the playoff finals with an aggregate score of 4-1.
