
Flash Send Amy Barczuk to Boston for 2015 NWSL College Draft Pick

ELMA, N.Y. (Monday, November 3, 2014) - The Western New York Flash have announced today that the club has acquired a second round pick (No. 18 overall) in the 2015 NWSL College Draft from the Boston Breakers in exchange for defender Amy Barczuk.
The Flash now hold the 3rd, 6th (via Washington), 7th (via Portland), 18th (via Boston) and 21st picks in the 2015 College Draft.
"I would like to thank Amy for her contributions to the club over the past two seasons," said Flash general manager and head coach Aaran Lines. "Amy has really developed and matured as a player and I think this move gives her a chance to play a consistent, 90 minutes of football. I wish her the best of luck in Boston."
Barczuk, 24, was selected by the Flash with the 14th overall pick in the 2013 NWSL College Draft. A native of Centennial, Colo., Barczuk appeared in 28 games over her two-year Flash career with 13 starts, including two during the 2013 postseason.
In her 886 minutes during the 2014 season, Barczuk tallied three shots.
