February 12, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Ontario Reign News Release

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Ontario Reign (28-15-3-2), proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, forced overtime, but fell 4-3 to the Las Vegas Wranglers (31-16-1-4) before 4,344 at Orleans Arena Sunday afternoon.

Kevin Estrada scored a pair of power-play goals to give Ontario a 2-0 lead in the first period. The first goal came as Bill Bagron hit Estrada in the slot for a snap shot past Joe Fallon at 7:25. Estrada redirected Chris Huxley's point shot for his second goal at 18:07. Vincent LoVerde also assisted on the goal.

The Wranglers answered with a pair of goals by Josh Lunden and took the lead late in the second period on a goal by Adam Huxley. Lunden scored with 30 seconds left in the first period and again just 39 seconds into the second frame. Las Vegas got its first lead of the game as Huxley finished a 2-on-1 with Eric Lampe to give the Wranglers a 3-2 lead at 19:40.

Kyle Kraemer extended his point streak to seven games as he tied the game at 3-3 with a power-play goal at 8:00 of the third stanza. Unable to settle a bouncing puck, Kraemer slapped a fluttering shot through a crowd and into the net. It was only the second time Reign have scored three power-play goals in a single game this season. Las Vegas had a couple of great chances but J. F. Berube stopped both Adam Miller and Channing Boe at point-blank range to force overtime.

The Reign had just killed off a power play when Lunden completed the hat trick at 3:27 of the extra frame to win it for the Wranglers, 4-3.

Berube (9-8-2) mad 35 saves on 39 shots to run his unbeaten streak to five games, while Fallon (26-9-4) stopped 20 of the 23 shots he faced in the win.

Three stars:

1) LV- Josh Lunden

2) ONT- Kyle Kraemer

3) LV- Adam Huxley
