ONTARIO, Calif.- The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, announced the signing of defenseman Iain McPhee for the 2011-12 season.

McPhee, 25, most recently played five games in his first CHL playoff appearance with the Wichita Thunder after spending the regular season playing for the Allen Americans, the 2011 league champions. Since starting his minor league career in 2001, the ECHL will be the sixth league McPhee has played in.; previously defending for teams in the OPJHL, OHL, AUS, IHL and CHL.

During the 2010-11 season, McPhee posted a total of 12 points (12a) in 53 games with 79 penalty minutes. Remember that the Reign's regular season opener is Friday, October 14, 2011.
