RedHawks Sign West Fargo's Dahl, Harris

FARGO, ND - After going 2-2 in Laredo with a pair of long extra-inning games, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have bolstered their pitching staff with the addition of a pair of rookie hurlers. The RedHawks have signed West Fargo High School and University of Jamestown product RHP Tanner Dahl and RHP Tyler Harris. Both will be in uniform and making their professional debuts tonight as the RedHawks open a three-game series in Grand Prairie, Texas against the Texas AirHogs.
Dahl, 22, recently completed a highly successful college career at the University of Jamestown (ND). He was 11-1 with a 2.55 ERA in 16 games (15 starts) for the Jimmies. Dahl pitched 106.0 innings and allowed 32 runs (30 earned) on 100 hits. He struck out 112 batters and walked 26. Dahl was selected to the North Star Athletic Association All-Conference First Team in 2016.
In three seasons in Jamestown, Dahl was 26-5 with a 3.23 ERA in 37 games (36 starts). He recorded 241 strikeouts and allowed just 227 hits in 236.2 innings pitched. He has pitched in the summers for the Moorhead Brewers amateur team and has also been a member of the RedHawks grounds crew in previous summers.
Harris, 27, played college baseball at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas in 2011 and 2012. In his final season with the Hilltoppers, he was 8-1 with a 2.57 ERA in 14 games (13 starts). Harris pitched 73.2 innings and allowed 28 runs (21 earned) on just 61 hits. He struck out 61 batters and walked 26.
In 2011, Harris was 1-0 with a 5.25 ERA and one save in 18 games (three starts) for St. Edward's. The Houston, Texas native struck out 12 batters and gave up 28 hits in 24.0 innings pitched.
