
RedHawks Sign Sullivan, Place Peschel on DL

Fargo, N.D. - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have signed OF Jared Sullivan while placing LHP Mike Peschel on the disabled list, the Northern League club announced today. Sullivan will be in uniform tonight as the RedHawks take on the Edmonton Cracker-Cats in the final contest of a four-game set at Newman Outdoor Field.
Sullivan, 22, makes his professional debut with the RedHawks after playing two seasons with North Dakota State University. As a senior with the Bison in 2006, Sullivan batted .351 with 32 runs scored, 21 doubles, seven home runs, and 41 RBIs. A native of Redlands, California, Sullivan played his first two collegiate seasons with Riverside Community College (CA) and Northeast Texas Community College, respectively, before moving onto NDSU.
Peschel, who is suffering from a back injury, was placed on the disabled list retroactive to July 6. In ten outings for the RedHawks this season, Peschel has amassed a 5-3 record with a 5.47 ERA
