JackHammers to auction off final two roster spots for charity game

JOLIET, IL-The Joliet JackHammers will give two lucky fans the opportunity of a lifetime by auctioning off two roster spots for the first-ever "Budweiser Gridiron on the Diamond Celebrity Softball Game" at Silver Cross Field on Saturday, July 28 at 7:05 p.m. The JackHammers will auction off one spot to play on the former Bears roster coached by Scott Slocum of WJOL radio and one spot to play with the former Packers legends coached by Don Ladis of WJOL radio. The JackHammers are currently on a seven-game road trip and return home Tuesday, July 24 to take on the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at 7:05 p.m. at Silver Cross Field.
"This is always one of the most enjoyable parts of the celebrity game," said Kelly Sufka, JackHammers Executive Vice President/General Manager. "It's amazing to see how much interest these roster spots generate. We always enjoy meeting the lucky fans that win the roster spot. They'll be bidding on an experience they will not soon forget."
Fans that wish to submit bids for the roster spots must be 21 years of age or older. They will have an opportunity to participate in the Golf Pro-Am on Friday, July 27 at Heritage Bluffs Golf Course in Channahon and the Friday Night Legends cocktail party at the Empress Casino in Joliet.
The winners are also eligible to take batting practice before the game with the players at Silver Cross Field and attend a post-game reception in the JackHammers Press Box Lounge.
