RH Tommy Hunter (0-0, 0.00) vs. RH Vin Mazzaro (2-1, 2.67)

TONIGHT: The RedHawks and Sacramento wrap up a 4-game series at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark with OKC looking to take 3 out of 4. The River Cats prevailed 8-5 in 14 innings last night to gain their first win of the series. OKC leads the American South Division by 1.5 games over Albuquerque. Sacramento is tied for third in the Pacific South, 8.5 back of Fresno. Righthander Tommy Hunter gets the start for OKC against righty Vin Mazzaro, whose only major league start this season was May 4 vs. Texas. Mazzaro did not get a decision in the A's 7-6 win.

RALLY DOESN'T GO OVERTIME: The RedHawks rallied from 4 runs down last night by scoring twice in the seventh inning and twice more in the eighth, but dropped an 8-5 decision in 14 innings. Mitch Moreland and Wes Bankston combined for all 5 RedHawks RBIs and 5 of the team's 10 hits as OKC fell to 0-3 in extra-inning games, all at home. It marked the second time this season Moreland has tied a game late only to have the team lose in extras. Last night, it was a 2-out, 2-run single in the eighth to tie the score 5-5. On April 12 against Round Rock, Moreland's 2-run homer in the ninth forced OT to no avail in a 6-5, 10-inning defeat. The RedHawks have played 10 extra innings this season and been out-scored 7-0 in those frames. Last night was the longest game by innings and time (4 hours, 20 minutes) for the RedHawks this season and the longest in innings since a 1-0 win in 14 on July 1, 2009 in Iowa.

FIVE ALIVE? OKC has scored exactly 5 runs in a game 4 times this season and lost all 4, including all three extra-inning tilts.

RETIREES: OKC pitching has enjoyed two long stretches of consecutively retired batters this series. Over parts of the first 2 games, the RedHawks retired 25 straight River Cats. Last night, OKC pitching compiled 18 straight outs from the fifth through the 12th innings.

PCL TEAM LEADERBOARD: The RedHawks are tied with Las Vegas for the PCL lead in home runs (33) and lead by themselves in triples (15). OKC is second in on-base percentage (.352) and third in slugging (.440). The RedHawks have out-scored the opposition 190-140, owning the best run differential (+50) in the league. Fresno has the second-best run differential at +46.

PCL TEAM LEADERBOARD, PITCHING: OKC's team ERA (3.35) is second behind Tacoma's 3.33. The RedHawks have the second-most strikeouts (251) behind Sacramento's 268. OKC is tied with Tacoma for the third-fewest home runs allowed with 21. Reno and Round Rock have surrendered the fewest homers with 19.

BULLPEN BASHERS: The RedHawks have scored more runs against opposing teams' bullpens than starting staffs this season. Of OKC's 190 runs, 97 have been against relievers, with 93 charged to starters. OKC has collected 150 hits in 114 innings against the league's collective relief corps, while amassing 176 hits in 190.1 innings vs. starters. The RedHawks have failed to score against an opponents' bullpen just 7 times in 34 games, going 1-6 in those contests.

ODDS AND ENDS: Esteban German is tops in the league with 31 runs scored and is tied with Portland's Luis Durango for the stolen base lead with 14...Hernan Iribarren leads the PCL with 5 sacrifice flies...Wes Bankston has reached base by hit or walk in all 5 games with the Hawks after being promoted from Frisco and has hit in 5 straight.

EARNING IT: Sacramento and OKC are first and third in the PCL in unearned runs allowed.
