REDHAWKS TAKE WEDNESDAY SLUGFEST: Oklahoma City scored its second-highest run total of the season in yesterday's 14-6 win. The RedHawks used a 6-run fourth inning and a 5-run sixth to snap a season-high 5-game losing streak and end Reno's 5-game winning streak. Seven RedHawks had RBIs, topped by Brandon Boggs' 3. Boggs broke it open in the fourth with a 3-run double off reliever Abe Woody, with the runs charged to starter Seth Etherton to make the score 7-0. Etherton (4-4) allowed 7 runs on 5 hits in 3.2 innings for the loss. Eight RedHawks had hits, including a 3-for-5 day from Julio Borbon, who lacked a home run for a cycle. The RedHawks drew a season-high 10 walks, including 3 with the bases loaded in a 3-hour, 45-minute game. Elizardo Ramirez (2-4) went 5 innings for the win, allowing all 4 Reno runs in the fourth inning. The 3:45 marathon was the RedHawks' longest 9-inning game of the season and their sixth 9-inning game lasting longer than 3:20. The shortest game time of the current road trip is 2:53 on Friday at Las Vegas.

BACK TO SIX: The RedHawks' win yesterday marked the third time they've avoided falling 8 games below .500. Their lowest point below .500 is 7 games, reached 3 times this month. Each time they've been 7 games under they're won the next game.

KEEPING IT IN THE PARK: OKC pitching has gone 9 games without allowing a homer and has given up the fewest home runs (23) in the league. Memphis is closest with 27 allowed. The last homer against OKC came on May 17. RedHawks hitters have produced the fewest home runs in the league (19).

GERMAN HIGHLIGHTS: Esteban German sat out yesterday's game, but leads the team with 24 RBIs and 17 stolen bases. He's sixth in the league in on-base percentage at .435 and sixth in walks with 28. German is batting .341 with 16 RBIs in May.

BORBON KEEPS IT UP: Julio Borbon led off yesterday's game with a triple, the third straight game OKC has tripled. Borbon has hit safely in 4 straight and 14 of his last 15 games. He leads the club with 55 hits and 4 triples.

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER DOUBLE: Royce Huffman delivered a double in yesterday's 6-run fourth inning, his team-leading 11th two-base hit. Huffman's 11 doubles alone would tie for the club lead in extra-base hits (Julio Borbon has 7 doubles and 4 triples). Huffman's 13 extra-base hits (he has 2 homers) top the team.

SET THE ALARM AGAIN: This is the RedHawks' sixth of 8 games featuring a morning start time and the second straight 11:35 am (PDT) start in Reno. The RedHawks are 3-2 in morning starts, having lost the first two, April 15 at Nashville (7-1) and May 6 vs. Albuquerque (9-3). They won the last 3 early games, May 13 (5-1) over Portland, May 18 (3-0) over Tacoma and yesterday. OKC hosts 11:05 games June 17 and June 24.
