Gulin- ('07 with Huntsville) 12-6, 3.29 ERA, 102 H, 49 R, 44 BB, 117 K in 123.0 IP (21 Starts)

Mendoza- ('07 with Frisco) 15-4, 3.93 ERA, 145 H, 75 R, 48 BB, 93 K in 148.2 IP (25 Starts)

LAST NIGHT: John Wasdin combined with three other Redbird pitchers to limit Oklahoma to three hits and six base runners in a 7-1 Memphis win. Nate Gold hit his first home run of the season to account for the entire RedHawk offensive output. Sidney Ponson took the loss in his Oklahoma debut. The RedHawks and Redbirds split the four-game set, with neither team able to string back-to-back victories together.

OUTHIT AND OUTSCORED: Memphis outhit Oklahoma 41-30 over the four game series, 25 of which came during the Redbirds two wins. Memphis also outscored Oklahoma 21-18, with 17 of those runs crossing home during the pair of victories.

SOLD OUT: 13,066 fans were in attendance yesterday afternoon, the first sellout of the young season at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. It also marked the first time that every ticket had been sold since July 4th against Nashville.

MENDOZA ON THE MEND: Luis Mendoza gets the start today for the RedHawks. The right-hander is currently on the Rangers 15-Day Disabled List with a blister on his right middle finger. Mendoza spent most of 2007 with Double-A Frisco before a September call-up to Texas. He was added to the RedHawks roster earlier today...

STREAK SNAPPED: Nelson Cruz had his home run streak broken in yesterday's loss to Memphis. The outfielder made his first appearance in a game this season for Oklahoma. Cruz went 1-4 with a double in his first at bat, snapping a three-game ride where he hit home runs in a RedHawks jersey. Cruz homered on July 24, 25, and 26 last season, his final three games for Oklahoma before a promotion to Texas.

NASHVILLE AT A GLANCE: The Sounds avoided a four-game sweep with a 4-0 win at New Orleans yesterday. Nic Ungs pitched three-hit ball over five innings, and the bullpen proceeded to face the minimum number of Zephyrs over the game's final four innings. Vinny Rotino drove in three of the four runs with a home run and two sacrifice flies... Through four games, the Sounds are hitting .263 as a team, with just one home run to their credit. The pitching staff ranks sixth in the PCL with a 3.82 ERA, while combining to strikeout 25 batters... Nashville features nine players on the Milwaukee Brewer's 40-man roster, including six pitchers... None of the players listed on the roster are rated in the top ten prospects by Baseball America... The Sounds went 89-55 in 2007 and finished first in the American Conference North Division... Nashville is led by skipper Frank Kremblas, pitching coach Stan Kyles, and hitting coach Harry Spilman.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Texas beat the LA Angels 10-4... Frisco eased past Arkansas 5-3... Bakersfield was doubled up at home by San Jose 8-4... Clinton edge Cedar Rapids 7-6 in 12 innings.

DOT-DOT-DOT: Oklahoma is hitting .221 as a team, but their six home runs are tied for second most in the league behind Albuquerque's eight. The RedHawks are tied with Salt Lake... RedHawks skipper Bobby Jones is now six wins shy of 500 in his Oklahoma City managerial career. Jones spent two seasons at the helm of the 89ers in the mid-ninties, and is in his second stint as the manager of the RedHawks...

ON THE AIR: Every game this season can be heard on the RedHawks Radio Network, led by broadcaster Jim Byers for the ninth season, and joined by Adam Marco during each homestand. Fox Sports Radio AM 1340 in Oklahoma City will serve as the flagship station in 2008. The network affiliates this season are KSIW 1450 AM in Woodward, KXCA 1380 AM in Lawton, KPNS 1350 AM in Duncan, KTJS 1420 AM in Hobart, KGFF 1450 AM in Shawnee, and KWSH 1260 AM in Wewoka.
