RedHawks Acquire Oldham, Release Harris, Activate Englebrook

FARGO, N.D. - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks made several roster moves today as the team continued an 11-game Can-Am League road trip with an afternoon game against the New Jersey Jackals. The RedHawks have acquired INF Taylor Oldham from the Wichita Wingnuts for future considerations, released LHP Joe Harris, activated RHP Evan Englebrook from the Inactive List and transferred INF Michael Wing to the 7-day disabled list retroactive to July 14.

Oldham, 26, had spent the past two seasons with Wichita and was batting .250 with two doubles, one triple and five RBIs in 19 games this year. Last year, he batted .285 with nine doubles, three home runs, 25 RBIs and 15 runs scored in 54 games as the Wingnuts won the American Association championship.

Harris was 1-1 with a 8.62 ERA in six games (three starts) in his return to Fargo-Moorhead. Englebrook who has been out a month with a leg injury. Wing, who was picked up off waivers by the RedHawks from the Sioux Falls Canaries earlier this week, has not reported to the team.

Following today's game, the RedHawks will travel to face the Rockland Boulders in a three game series starting Thursday night. Game time is 6:05 p.m. and can be heard on 740 AM The Fan with Jack Michaels.
