Memphis Redbirds News Release
MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis beat Albuquerque for the second straight night with a 3-2 win Tuesday night at AutoZone Park.
Brandon Dickson starred in the Redbirds victory tossing seven solid innings and going 2-for-3 at the plate. The tall right-hander allowed two runs on four hits with three walks and two strikeouts to earn his second win of the year. Dickson's offensive output played a key role for the âBirds as well. His RBI-double in the second inning capped a two-run rally that put Memphis on top. Dickson later added a single in the sixth. After the Isotopes tied the game on a Jay Gibbons two-run homer, Ruben Gotay put the âBirds back on top for good with a RBI-single. Gotay and Allen Craig led Memphis with two hits each.
Albuquerque starter James McDonald took the loss allowing three runs on seven hits with five strikeouts. Gibbons paced the âTopes with two of the team's four hits.
