Red Sox' Daisuke Matsuzaka to Pitch at Frontier Field Friday

ROCHESTER, NY - Red Sox righthander Daisuke Matsuzaka is scheduled to make a rehab start with the Pawtucket Red Sox on Friday at Frontier Field against the Red Wings. The Japan-born pitcher is currently on the 15-Day Disabled List with a right upper trapezius strain. Gametime is 7:05 p.m. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.

"Dice-K" also pitched at Frontier Field against the Empire State Yankees July 30.

Matsuzaka is 49-33 with a 4.34 ERA in 111 games (110 starts) during his six-year career with the Red Sox. He won a World Series with Boston in 2007, his first year pitching in the United States.
