TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons face the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the first game of a two-game series at Coca-Cola Park (7:05 p.m.). The Herd began their five-game in four-day roadtrip with a 1-2 record in Syracuse. Starting Friday, the Bisons open up an eight-game homestand with two against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, two against Pawtucket and four with the IronPigs.

vs. IRONPIGS: The Bisons are 4-3 against the IronPigs this season. The clubs split a four-game set in Buffalo, April 16-20, while the Herd took two of three at Coca-Cola Park, April 23-25. Just one of the seven games between the clubs this year has been separated by less than three runs. The IronPigs collected a 4-3 win in 11 innings on April 24 in Lehigh Valley.

WE ARE FAMILIA: RHP JEURYS FAMILIA makes his league-leading 24th start tonight. The righty has excelled on the road this season with a 6-3 record and a 3.76ERA in 11 starts. In those road starts, Familia has struck out 50 in 52.2 innings of work. Familia leads all active Bisons pitchers with seven wins and 93 strikeouts.

NICKEAS: C MIKE NICKEAS went 2-3 last night with a run scored, double and a walk. Nickeas has three multi-hit games in seven starts with the Herd since being optioned by the Mets. Overall, the catcher is hitting .455 (10-22) with four doubles, a home run, two RBI and three walks.

SILKY: INF JOSH SATIN extended his hit-streak to six games last night with a double in four trips to the plate. Satin is hitting .476 (10-21) during his streak with three doubles, two home runs, six RBI and a walk. Since the All-Star break, Satin is hitting .343 (24-70) with a .483 on-base percentage.

BISONS BITS: LHP ROBERT CARSON struck out three last night in two innings of relief. The lefty has a 0.96ERA with 10 strikeouts in 9.1IP since being called up from Double-A Binghamton on July 27...OF LUCAS DUDA extended his hit-streak to five games last night going 2-4. Duda is hitting .471 (8-17) over this stretch with a double, two home runs, five runs batted in and two walks...RHP FERNANDO CABRERA is one save away from being just the sixth Bisons reliever in the modern era to record a 20-save season.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (53-57) lost last night to Marlins by a score of 4-2. Former Bison INF DANIEL MURPHY hit his fourth home run of the season in the loss. The Mets activated former Bisons LHP GARRETT OLSON before the game but he did not pitch. RHP CHRIS YOUNG starts for the Mets against the Marlins tonight. (7:10p.m.)
