Red Cross to accept donations at Bulldogs Saturday home game

The Hamilton Bulldogs have announced in cooperation with the Canadian Red Cross that during the Bulldogs home game on Saturday, January 8th at 7:00 p.m. versus the St. John's Maple Leafs at Copps Coliseum, the Canadian Red Cross, Hamilton Branch, will be collecting money for the Asia Earthquake & Tsunami Relief Fund.

"The Hamilton Bulldogs recognize that one of our roles in the community is to utilize the attraction of our games to generate goodwill and partner with the community in raising funds, and providing donations - be it for local causes or beyond," said Brian Lewis, the Bulldogs Executive Director of Operations. "We acknowledge the critical nature of this terrible disaster, and are confident that our fans will show their generosity and international community spirit to those who have suffered tremendous loss."

Fans attending the game can make monetary donations of any sum to the Asia Earthquake & Tsunami Relief Fund. Donations will be collected at the door and throughout Copps Coliseum. As well, proceeds from Bulldogs cap sales at Saturday's game will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross.

The Bulldogs will play two home games at Copps Coliseum this weekend, as they will host the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday, January 7th at 7:30 p.m. and the St. John's Maple Leafs on Saturday, January 8th at 7:00 p.m. Bulldogs fans can purchase their tickets at the Copps Coliseum Box Office, at all Ticketmaster outlets, by calling Ticketmaster at (905) 527-7666 or online at www.ticketmaster.ca.
