
Barons Host Three-Game Weekend Set

CLEVELAND â The Cleveland Barons will host three games this weekend on the National City Rink located in Gund Arena. The Barons will welcome the Rochester Americans on Friday night at 7pm, the Grand Rapids Griffins on Saturday night at 8pm, and the Griffins again on Sunday night at 5pm.
The Barons will play the first of their eight-game season series with the Americans on Friday night. Fans who present their National City Bank Card at the Gund Arena Box Office can receive 2-for-1 tickets in the $16 sections. The special ticket deal is available for all Barons Friday night games. The Americans currently sit in second place in the North Division, trailing the Manitoba Moose by just one point. Rochester had their seven-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night. The veteran-laden Amerks feature 16 players that have combined to play 672 games in the NHL.
On Saturday at 8pm, the Barons will host Grand Rapids in the first of back-to-back games with the third place Griffins. Fans presenting non-winning Ohio Lottery tickets can purchase $21 tickets at a special 2-for-1 rate. A National City Doug Murray Bobblehead will be distributed to the first 3,000 fans in attendance. During the game, one lucky fan will be selected to shoot for a chance to win $10,000 courtesy of National City. The Barons are 2-2-0-1 against Grand Rapids this season.
On Sunday at 5pm, the first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a hand-signed Matt Carkner Action Photo. Carkner, the captain of the Barons, is amid his fourth season in Cleveland. Fans can take advantage of the "4-for-$40 Family Pack" on Sunday. For $40, you receive four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas. The 4-for-$40 Family Pack's can be purchased by calling the Barons front office at 216.420.0000 or at the Gund Arena Box Office.
The Barons are playing well at home as of late. In their last 13 games on National City Rink, the Barons are 9-3-0-1, including winning five of their last six home contests.
