Goertzen Reassigned to Dayton

Syracuse, NY (January 6, 2005) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that right wing Steven Goertzen was reassigned to Dayton (ECHL).

Goertzen, 20, has appeared in 20 games with the Crunch this season, recording 3 points (1g, 2a) and 44 penalty minutes. In five games with Dayton (ECHL) this season, Goertzen has recorded one assist and two penalty minutes. In A native of Stony Plain, Alberta, Goertzen was Columbus' 11th pick, 225th overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft.

The Crunch returns home to face Cleveland on Friday, January 14. On Saturday, January 15 Fred Flintstone visits the War Memorial at Oncenter, when the Crunch host Cleveland.
