
Red Claws Unveil Larry Bird Bobblehead

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today unveiled the Larry Bird bobblehead that will be distributed at the March 18 game to honor the Boston Celtics legend. The first 1,000 fans through the turnstiles will receive the collectible.
"Larry Bird left an indelible mark on the Boston Celtics, the NBA and basketball as a whole," said Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings, who was an assistant coach for the Celtics when Bird was a player. "We are thrilled that Larry allowed us to produce this limited edition collectible, and we know that Red Claws fans will be proud to add it to their memorabilia collections."
ZOOPERSTARS TO PERFORM AT SPECIAL SCHOOL VACATION DAY GAME: The ZOOperstars, featuring such characters as Shaquille O'Seal, Manatee Ramirez, Mackerel Jordan and Nomar Garciaparrot, will perform at the Red Claws home game on Thursday, February 24. The game, during school vacation week, will tip off at 1 PM. The ZOOperstars are a popular act of inflatable mascots that has performed at sporting events nationwide and was featured on "America's Got Talent."
