
Iowa's Curtis Stinson Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2011 - Curtis Stinson of the Iowa Energy was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Jan. 17.
Stinson, a 6-3, 215-pound guard out of Iowa State who played in the 2010 NBA Summer League with the Orlando Magic and Toronto Raptors, led the Energy to a 2-0 record on the week, averaging 25.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 9.0 assists and 3.5 steals.
In Iowa's 100-98 victory over Reno on Saturday, Stinson recorded 22 points, six rebounds, nine assists and five steals. On Sunday, Stinson scored a team-high 29 points to go along with five rebounds and nine assists, leading the Energy to a 107-102 win over the Bighorns to complete the weekend sweep.
This week's honorable mention selections were Austin's Kevin Palmer, who averaged 18.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in three games; Bakersfield's Trey Johnson, who averaged 29.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in three games; Erie's Ivan Johnson, who averaged 27.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.0 steals in three games; Fort Wayne's Walker Russell, who averaged 21.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists in three games; Idaho's Jermareo Davidson, who averaged 16.0 points and 10.3 rebounds in three games; Iowa's Othyus Jeffers, who averaged 21.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals in two games; Maine's DeShawn Sims, who averaged 20.7 points and 9.0 rebounds in three games; New Mexico's Dar Tucker, who averaged 27.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in two games; Reno's Marcus Landry, who averaged 22.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in three games; Rio Grande Valley's Jeff Adrien, who averaged 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in four games; Sioux Falls' Dexter Pittman, who, on assignment from the Miami Heat, averaged 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games; Springfield's JamesOn Curry, who averaged 23.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists in three games; Texas' Joe Alexander, who averaged 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in two games; and Tulsa's Elijah Millsap, who averaged 20.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two games.
