
Red Bulls Face Must-Win Game In Regular Season Finale

SECAUCUS, NJ (Friday, October 13, 2006) - The New York Red Bulls conclude their 2006 regular season Saturday, October 14 against the Kansas City Wizards at Giants Stadium (TV: FSN-NY, Spanish Radio: 1350 AM). Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET.
The Red Bulls are currently in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with 36 points, while the Wizards are in fourth in the East with 38. A win for the Red Bulls would catapult them into playoffs, where they would face D.C. United in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. A loss or tie would mean the end of the season for New York.
The game also marks the last regular season match in the career of Red Bulls midfielder Youri Djorkaeff. Djorkaeff - the team's Most Valuable Player a year ago - is approaching the end of a 22-year professional career that saw him win the World Cup with France in 1998 and play for some of the best club teams in the world.
