
Rebels Make Two Trades

Red Deer Rebels News Release
RED DEER, AB - The Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club announced today they have acquired 18-year old forward Ken Petkau and a 5th round pick in the 2006 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for 20-year old forward Roman Wick and a 7th round pick in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Rebels also made a deal with the Vancouver Giants. The Rebels sent a 4th round selection in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft along with a 6th round pick in 2007 to the Giants, for the rights to 20-year old forward Cam Cunning and a 6th round pick in 2006. Cunning was an 8th round selection of the Calgary Flames in the 2003 National Hockey League Entry Draft and has been playing with Omaha of the American Hockey League. The Flames will reassign Cunning to the Red Deer Rebels later today.
