
Rebels make deals

Red Deer, Alberta -- The last place Red Deer Rebels completed two Western Hockey League trades on Friday.
First, they shipped veteran forward Roman Wick and a 7th round pick to the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for 18-year old forward Ken Petkau and a fifth round bantam draft choice.
Later, Brent Sutter sent a fourth round selection in the 2006 bantam draft alsong with a sixth round pick in 2007 to the Vancouver Giants, in exchange for the playing rights to 20-year old forward Cam Cunning. A former 8th round pick of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames, Cunning has been playing with Omaha of the American Hockey League.
The Flames will reassign Cunning to Red Deer later tonight.
