TRAINING SCHEDULE:

Mon. - Thurs., Oct. 16-20, 2017Fourth Round Pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft Signs MLS Contract After Making 18 Starts with Real Monarchs SLC in the USL-->SANDY, Utah (Monday, October 16, 2017) - Real Salt Lake's U-17 and U-19 sides return to training this week after the U-17s drew 1-1 with the Barca Academy in Casa Grande, Arizona last weekend while the U-19s return to Utah as 6-0 victors in its homecoming visit. The team now looks forward to a bye week before returning to action against San Diego Surf on Sat., Oct. 28 in Sandy.

Last weekend's matches saw the RSL Academy sides return to Casa Grande for the first time since moving to the Salt Lake Valley earlier this year and the sides showed well at its old stopping grounds. The U-17s were led by FW Ben Ortiz, who notched his sixth goal of the year after tucking home a penalty in the 73rd minute. GK David Ochoa helped solidify the draw in goal, saving a penalty kick in the 78th minute to secure a point for the visitors.

The U-19 side walked away from Arizona 6-0 victors as FW Sebastian Soto notched two goals in the win, with DF Steve Jasso and MFs Glademir Mendoza, Jordan Pena and Zahir Vasquez also finding the back of the net in the win. GK Jacob Jackson played the full 90 minutes in goal for the U-19s, earning the shutout.

With this week's training schedule, media members are strongly encouraged to attend trainings at the Zion's Bank Real Academy to become acquainted and familiar with the development of RSL's young talent as the club strives to produce successful young players on the national stage:

Wed., Oct. 18: 7:15a - 8:30a MT - Training at Zions Bank Real Academy - U17/19s

Thurs., Oct. 19: 5:00p - 6:15p MT - Training at Zions Bank Real Academy - U17/19s

Fri., Oct. 20: OFF
