Real Monarchs Visit Hartford Athletic in First-Ever Matchup

HARTFORD, Connecticut - Real Monarchs travel to Connecticut to take on Hartford Athletic in the first-ever match between the two sides at Dillon Stadium on Wednesday, September 15. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. MT and can be streamed live on ESPN+.

Head-to-Head: Saturday's game will be the first-ever matchup between Real Monarchs and Hartford Athletic.

Connections: Monarchs goalkeeper Jimmy Slayton was born and raised in Connecticut and played youth soccer for FSA FC before attending the University of Hartford from 2016-2019. The Connecticut native set the school record for single-season shutouts and helped lift his side to an appearance in the America East Championship game.

Notes: Real Monarchs enter the match on three days' rest after its weekend matchup with San Antonio FC. On the other side, Hartford Athletic will step onto the pitch looking to avoid a third-straight loss at home. The Monarchs have an all-time record of 27-50-17 in matches away from home, while Hartford Athletic own a record of 16-11-9 as hosts.
