
Real Monarchs Add Forward Yekeson Subah from RSL Academy

HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs has signed forward Yekeson Subah from the Real Salt Lake Academy, pending league and federation approval.
"The Club congratulates Yekeson on signing his first professional contract with Real Monarchs. Yekeson is a talented, attacking footballer with relentless pace. We look forward to seeing his game continue to mature under the direction of our Club staff," Real Salt Lake Assistant General Manager Tony Beltran said.
Subah, 17, joined the RSL Academy at the beginning of this summer from the North Carolina FC academy where he signed a contract with the USL League One side for the 2021 season. The forward made two appearances before leaving to join the RSL Academy in June.
Subah joined the RSL Academy for the MLS NEXT Showcase tournament where he scored one goal with the U17 squad. Last week he recorded a hattrick against FC Spider in the first United Premier Soccer League match of the season.
With the addition of Subah, Real Monarchs now have four contracted players to make the jump from the RSL Academy to the USL Championship level, including Julio Benitez, Gavin Beavers and Jaziel Orozco. All together the Real Monarchs have featured 18 past and present RSL Academy members.
