Real Monarchs SLC Return to Action Saturday at Saint Louis FC

HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs SLC (10-3-1, 31 points, 1 West) return to action on Saturday, June 16 to face Saint Louis FC at 6:30 pm. MT from Toyota Stadium. The match will be the second match in four days for the Monarchs after facing Swope Park Rangers in a hard fought 3-2 loss on Wednesday evening in Kansas City.

The Monarchs and Saint Louis FC have only done battle on one occasion in 2016, a match the Monarchs claimed a 1-0 victory. Playing in the Eastern Conference before returning to the West in 2018, Saint Louis FC has not been a common opponent for the Monarchs but will now face each other twice this season.

The Utah club are coming off a heated match against Swope Park Rangers on Wednesday that saw FW Chandler Hoffman score his fourth and fifth goals of the season in a 3-2 loss. Hoffman now leads the team's "Golden Boot" race with five goals in 13 appearances in his sophomore season with the Monarchs. Despite falling at Children's Mercy Park, the Monarchs retained its lead atop the United Soccer League standings with a game in hand over its next closest competitors.
