HARRISBURG, Pa. - Penn FC (4-4-5) takes its winning streak on the road to face Louisville City FC (7-2-2), the second-place team in the Eastern Conference, in Louisville, Ky., Saturday, June 16.

Rush Soccer's First Team took all six points away from its most recent home stand. The team clawed its way to a 3-2 comeback win against Toronto FC II on Saturday before taking a 2-1 victory against the Richmond Kickers on Tuesday.

The midweek fixture against Richmond proved crucial as Penn FC continues to keep pace with the Eastern Conference.

Following a scoreless first half, Richard Menjivar orchestrated a winning effort in the second half. The team leader in assists -- with three on the season -- placed a deep free-kick into the box that met the head of Harri Hawkins. The defender's header was rebounded to an eager Isaac Osae who put it in the back of the net.

Later in the second half, Menjivar swung in a corner kick that was met by a diving Dan Metzger to double the advantage for the home team. Richmond earned a consolation goal deep into stoppage time to wipe away the clean sheet, but the final whistle blew shortly after the goal.

Louisville City FC provides an important measuring stick for the Blue and White. The defending USL champions sit second in the Eastern Conference table, and the home side enjoyed a week of rest while much of the league played midweek fixtures.

Recent form favors the visitors heading into the weekend. Penn FC won three of its last five USL games, while only suffering one loss. Louisville suffered both of its losses on the season in its last five games.

Penn FC knows Saturday night will be a challenge. Forward Aaron Dennis reflected on the team's recent form and what it means going into the match against Louisville.

"We started off a bit rough (this season)," Dennis admitted. "We were tying a lot of games before we got our first win, but, obviously, we are finding a rhythm right now. I think Saturday will be a big test for us to see where we stand within the league."

Goalkeeper Sean Lewis reiterated the forward's assertion that the match against Louisville will be a test of the team's progress.

"Obviously, going in, it's going to be a tough competition with Louisville because of the quality they have -- their place in the table dictates that." said Lewis. "But we have confidence and we're flying now so I don't think our position in the table represents how good we are right now."

The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night at Louisville Slugger Stadium. Fans who can't make it to the game can catch the stream on ESPN+.
