Halifax Mooseheads News Release
Halifax Mooseheads General Manager Cam Russell announced a trade this afternoon with the Saint John Sea Dogs. The Mooseheads have acquired 20-year old Stephen MacAulay from the Sea Dogs in exchange for a 4th round pick in 2013 and a 2nd round pick in 2014.
MacAulay, a Cole Harbour native, has 18 goals and 18 assists in 34 games for Saint John this season. At 6'2" 190lbs, MacAulay is a 2010 6th round draft pick of the St.Louis Blues and a Memorial Cup Champion with Sea Dogs in 2011. He is expected to be in the Mooseheads lineup tomorrow when the Herd visit the PEI Rocket in Charlottetown.
The Mooseheads next home game is Friday, January 11th when they host the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada at 7pm at the Metro Centre.
