SAUGET, Ill. - River City scored eight runs in the first four innings and held on for an 8-6 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies Saturday night at GCS Ballpark in an exhibition contest.

Former Grizzlie Charlie Lisk paced the Rascals offensive attack, going 2-for-2 with a two-run triple and a solo home run.

Gateway was able to stay in the game in the first four innings because of their strong offense. Grizzlies scored all six of their runs in the first four innings, highlighted by a 2-for-2 for day second baseman, Jonathan Johnson. Johnson scored two runs and drove in two runs as well. John Shelby also enjoyed a multi-hit game for the Grizzlies.

Zach Robertson got the start for Gateway and surrendered five runs on three hits in three innings. Kolby Moore gave up three runs in one and a third while Ryan Juarez, Travis Ruppel, Logan Mahon and Phillip Reamy all pitched without giving up a run.

Gateway returns to action Sunday evening with their third and final home exhibition game. The Grizzlies take on River City at GCS Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05.
