MISSOULA - Opponents had outscored Missoula 20-1 in the first inning when the Osprey came to the plate in the bottom of the first. So naturally, they scored five runs.

Matt Jones hit a 3-run home run in the top of the inning, but was matched by Luke Lowery's 3-run shot in the bottom of the first. Raymel Flores added a two-run double later in the inning to put the Osprey ahead 5-3 and chase Raptors starter Roberth Fernandez from the game after just 2/3 of an inning pitched. Missoula added one run in the bottom of the second inning to take its largest lead at 6-3.

Rob McDonnell, Michael Boyle, Isaac Anderson, and Marcus Crescentini combined to throw the final 7 1/3 innings out of the bullpen, allowing just one earned run. Nick Sell hit a solo home run in the fourth and Chris Godinez scored on Willie Calhoun's sacrifice fly in the fifth to bring Ogden to within a single run.

Missoula and Ogden traded runs in the sixth and eighth innings to make it 8-7 and Dan Savas shut down the Raptors in the ninth, striking out the final two batters, to earn his Pioneer League-leading sixth save.

Ogden (9-11) and Missoula (11-7) resume the series Wednesday at 7:05pm MT with Ivan Vieitez making his second start for the Raptors against Yefrey Ramirez.
