Raptors Exercise Playoff Option

Ogden Raptors News Release

OGDEN, UT - The Ogden Raptors will start the defense of their Pioneer League championship on the road.

The 2017 champions have chosen to host Game Two and the if-necessary Game Three of the first-round playoff series.

The Raptors, by virtue of winning the first-half title in the South division for the first time since 2012, were given the choice of hosting the first game of the series or the last two.

The first game of the playoffs will be Friday, September 7th, at the home of the winner of the South division's second-half playoff berth. The Raptors will host Game Two on Saturday, September 8th, at 6:30 PM, and if the teams split the first two games, Game Three will be played at 6:30 PM on Sunday, September 9th.

Should the Raptors advance to the Pioneer League championship series, they will also host Games Two and Three, as that alternates between the divisions each year. Last year, South division representative Ogden hosted Game One of the championship series before going on the road for the second and third at Great Falls.

Game One of the championship series will be played at the North division champion's home ballpark on Tuesday, September 11th, allowing for a travel day between the first round and the championship. Another travel day will come after Game One, and Games Two and the if-necessary Three will be hosted by the South champion on Thursday and Friday, September 13th and 14th, respectively.

If Ogden advances to the championship, their home games will also be played at 6:30 PM.

Ogden Raptors playoff tickets will go on sale Wednesday, August 1st. All seats in the ballpark will be available for $5 each, with season ticket-holders given priority on their seats. Season ticket-holders can purchase their seats for all four potential playoff games, and if any games are not played the balance from un-played games will be credited to their season ticket account for 2019.
